Chandler Elise

Chandler Elise, founder of Liberated Space, is a self-taught multidisciplinary artist and designer. Chandler brings to her practice a minimal yet bold approach, evoking power and beauty. The use of symmetry as well as geometric shapes and lines brings balance to the pieces she creates. Building on a background in product development, luxury sales, and entertainment business, Chandler uses communication and design skills to bring messages of social change to the forefront through fine art, as well as the creation of tangible and digital goods.

Past work focused on the dynamic expression of life through the female form juxtaposed with botanical illustration. Chandler uses hand drawn illustrations to create designs that are used to elevate the women and entrepreneurs she works with. Her current body of work, Patterns & Pathways, surrounds repetition, habits, and personality formation, solely expressed with arches. The combination of straight and curved lines represent the balance between structure and flow as we experience life and elevation. Works created under this direction will span various media, including acrylic paintings, digital illustrations, pen and marker on paper, murals, and sculptures.

She allows for the time and space for self discovery, and explores the workings of the mind to connect topics of wellness and positivity to the symbols used in her pieces. As a Black woman artist, Chandler is continuously developing in holistic ways, and hopes to inspire others through her own transformative work.
